Roads and Blueprints

Category: MechanicIn the game since: 0.0.25.0Last updated: Sep 28, 2026

Roads are not dragged out but built in two steps: set the start point, pick the destination, and in between a preview shows the route — already with the curves and crossings that will be built. Tiles that are blocked are skipped by the planning automatically.

On a finished road you walk equally fast on any ground: sand and mountains no longer slow you down there. Off the road, the differences between the grounds remain.

If materials are missing, the road is placed anyway — as a blueprint, recognisable by its translucent, gently pulsing blue scaffold. Workers from the storage bring what is missing and finish it on their own. A road only gives its speed bonus once it is really finished, though; a blueprint does nothing yet.

The same principle applies to other infrastructure such as the torch stand: place it even if materials are missing, and the storage workers take care of the rest.

The Demolish tool removes buildings and resources, with a confirmation prompt. Resources need the right tool — stone a pickaxe, trees an axe. A right-click does it directly, too.
